Wetland Landscaping and Plant Supply
VESI Environmental Ltd provide creative and fit for purpose planting schemes for constructed wetlands, attenuation ponds, golf course ponds/lakes, recreational/park ponds and garden ponds. Careful consideration is given to the existing landscape and habitats so that the new area to be planted integrates into the local environment. Landscaping can enhance the sites values of habitat creation, amenity and aesthetics.
VESI Environmental Ltd supplies a number of different plant species for wetlands, reedbeds, ponds, lakes and rivers. Our plants are grown in our specialist aquatic plant nursery. All our native plant species are of Irish grown stock. We also provide a range of non-native plants which are propagated in our nursery.
Our plant species include Carex riparia, Typha latipholia, Typha angustifolia, Iris pseudacorus, Glyceria maximus, Alisma plantago-aquatica, Lythrum salicaria, Phragmities australis, Juncus spp., as well as a range of other reeds, sedges, irises and grasses.
Wetland plants include:
- Bare root species (cost effective, physiologically mature, quick establishment)
- Potted plants
- Seedlings (Phragmites australis)
- Floating Vegetated Islands
