South Dublin County Council’s Dublin Urban Rivers Life Project had a fantastic Community Planting event on Friday 5th August. Over 50 members of the community came out to help in planting a wide range of flowing and marginal plants, which will assist in the diversification of the ecology and biodiversity in the area.
A wealth of local knowledge, interest and enthusiasm was on display, with some of the youngest members of the community being the best planters on the day! A wonderful day for all involved and a tremendously uplifting way to begin closeout of the site works.
